Long Branch & Accotink Watershed Reforestation
Get involved in the intentional reforestation of the community's watersheds. The Long Branch and Accotink watersheds are vital natural resources in the Newington area, and reforestation efforts help restore native tree canopy, reduce erosion, improve water quality, and provide habitat for local wildlife.
Volunteers participate in planting native trees and shrubs along the watershed corridors. This is a meaningful way to contribute to the long-term environmental health of the Newington community. All ages are welcome. Training and supplies are provided.
